Our foray into Triathlon Coaching began in 2020 with the addition of Charlie Passfield and Emily Robertson to our coaching team. Initially collaborating with local triathletes in the UK to enhance their running and cycling prowess. We swiftly garnered a dedicated cohort of tri clients, thanks to glowing recommendations from satisfied athletes.

In 2021, a fortunate opportunity arose when professional long-distance triathlete, Kieran Lindars, sought our expertise to augment his training regimen. Recognizing a dearth of cycling-focused coaching within the triathlon sphere, Kieran entrusted us to take the reins of his bike training. This revelation led us to identify an untapped niche, propelling us to introduce specialized cycling training for triathletes, seamlessly integrated into their holistic training approach. Our distinctive perspective yielded remarkable outcomes, propelling Kieran from a modest global ranking of 250th to a formidable standing within the top 50. Notably, he clinched the prestigious title of European Long Course Triathlon champion.

Amidst this journey, our accomplished coaches, Charlie and Emily, continue to empower triathletes in refining their cycling and running skills. A fresh dimension to our services for 2023 is the holistic triathlon package encompassing all three disciplines. Kieran himself had already been disseminating invaluable running and swimming guidance to triathletes worldwide before joining our ranks. The surge in triathlon demand post-Kieran’s successes spurred us to integrate him into our coaching team, fortifying our ability to offer comprehensive triathlon coaching.

Our approach to triathlon coaching is distinctive, granting athletes the flexibility to choose assistance in one, two, or all three disciplines. This could involve a single coach overseeing all facets or a collaborative approach, where a tri coach handles run and swim coaching, and a cycling coach takes charge of the bike component. This customizable option is open to all athletes and can be tailored during your initial consultation.

How our Cycling Coaching works

Step 1

Initial Consultation

From your initial enquiry with us, our Head Coach, Jake Hales will contact you and arrange a phone appointment. We like to get a good understanding of your current situation, goals, style and general cycling history. Jake will then recommend the best RideRevolution coach for your needs, all are skilled and experienced.

Step 2

Where are you at?

Your new coach will have a second, more in depth consultation and will analyse past data and training in depth as well as conducting tests to assess your current fitness level, strengths and weaknesses. This will then form a baseline to create a plan unique to your needs to maximise your potential development.

Step 3

And so it begins..

Your coach will create a personalised training plan for you, using TrainingPeaks software to set and record your sessions. After each training session, you will upload your ride data. Your coach will review your training, provide feedback and set your next block of training. All training is bespoke to each rider.

Step 4

Ongoing Development

Your coach will provide regular feedback and analysis based on your training results via phone, WhatsApp & TrainingPeaks, helping you continue to progress your goals and improve performance. Training will be constantly adjusted to suit your needs and maximise your performance for your current goals.
